Important Information
1) BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
A reminder that back to school night starts at 5:30pm in the gym with a general session. Childcare will be at the playground starting at 5:15pm. Please don’t bring your children to the gym- our EAs will be providing childcare. In case of poor weather, we will send out our rainy day plan.
2) UNITED DAY
Our United Day this month is for Terry Fox Foundation. Students are invited to dress down in a Terry Fox t-shirt (if you own one) or anything that is comfortable for walking. Our students will be walking on school property only. All proceeds from our collection will go to support the foundation. Please bring a small donation, and an extra $1 for popcorn. Some parents have arranged to have their collections for the whole year done through EFT, so they do not need to bring any money. We have a record of which students have already paid. Terry Fox’s niece will be leading an assembly for us at 1:00pm.
3) CCS CROSS COUNTRY MINI MEET
We will once again be hosting a mini meet this year on our school grounds. All parents are encouraged to come and cheer on the students!
4) LOST AND FOUND
Great Job CCS! All but 2 items were labeled with names. These are the remaining items, please pick them up before Wednesday next week otherwise they will be donated. Photo at the bottom of this Feed.
5) WALKATHON 2025
Walkathon packages will be going home next Friday. All information you need will be in this package. PLease ensure that you get the package and read it carefully.

There are many opportunities available for parents to sign up for volunteer tasks. We encourage you to check the onVolunteers website regularly, as new tasks are added throughout the year.

Join the CCS Welcoming Committee!
Are you passionate about building community and making others feel at home? The CCS Welcoming Committee is looking for warm, caring parents to help greet and guide new families as they navigate life at our school. As a committee member, you'll be a go-to resource for questions, help foster connections, and support families throughout the year.
One of our most important goals is to strengthen the sense of community among all CCS families and parents, helping everyone feel included, supported, and connected. We host monthly after-school coffee and refreshment gatherings, as well as special events for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
