We will be having a special indigenous guest next Tuesday who will be doing workshops with all of our students. The students will have a chance to show what they have learned at an assembly at 1:45pm. Parents are welcome to watch! On Friday, we will have Orange Shirt Day- students are invited to wear an orange shirt with uniform bottoms and shoes.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
Thank you to everyone who attended our back to school night. The turnout was great, and I appreciate everyone who made the time to attend. We are always looking for feedback on how to improve our community events. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

ATHLETICS
Thank you to Mr. K, Mrs. Schneider and Mrs. Pistrin for hosting a great Cross Country meet yesterday! It was a joy to see the good sportsmanship and fun that was displayed by all!

FEEDING FUTURES GRANT
A reminder that this grant is available to families that have financial need and require extra help with groceries and food procurement. This will be in the way of gift cards, food hampers, and complimentary hot lunch. As the grant is a set amount and limited, I ask that only families that are in need contact me. Once I have the funds, I will reach out to all families. If you would like to access this grant, please email me at cheah@cisva.bc.ca. Your communication with me will be held in high confidence.
