Important Information

1) BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
 Back to school night is on September 16th. We will have a general session in the gym, at 5:30pm, followed by a small meal and then classroom sessions. All children are invited, and our Education Assistants will be providing supervision at the playground during the 5:30pm general session. We need to know how many families will be having hot dogs, and ask that you please complete this form no later than Friday September 5.

2) REMIND EMERGENCY APP
As mentioned in my back to school letter, please subscribe to the remind app using the code below. Thsi is our emergency app that will be used if there is ever a need to have to blast out a message in realtime- school closures, lockdowns, wide scale emergencies… If you have any issues joining, please let me know by sending me an email. Please remember that ALL FAMILIES MUST SIGN UP EVERY YEAR.

5) SCHOOL UNIFORMS
Please be reminded that students are expected to wear only Top Marks (phasing out at the end of this year) or Cambridge uniform pieces. Uniform shorts are permitted until Thanksgiving long weekend, and then winter uniform starts. The weather is projected to be very hot next week (up to 30 degrees on Thursday), and as such, students will be permitted to wear their gym strips if they wish, EXCEPT Friday, as we have school mass.
Please be reminded that school shoes must be all black.

6) WELCOMING COMMITTEE
Welcome Back to School with the CCS Welcoming Committee!
Kick off the school year with a warm cup of coffee and great company! Join us during morning drop-off from 8:30–9:00 AM (or until the coffee runs out) for a casual meet-and-greet. Come mingle with other parents, reconnect, and help us start the year by building community together. We can’t wait to see you there!

Are you passionate about building community and making others feel at home? The CCS Welcoming Committee is looking for warm, caring parents to help greet and guide new families as they navigate life at our school. As a committee member, you'll be a go-to resource for questions, help foster connections, and support families throughout the year.

One of our most important goals is to strengthen the sense of community among all CCS families and parents, helping everyone feel included, supported, and connected. We host monthly after-school coffee and refreshment gatherings, as well as special events for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
