Important Information

1) EXTRA YEARBOOKS
We have a small number of extra yearbooks for sale. If you would like one, it is first come and exact amount in cash only. A big thank you to Mrs. Hosein and Ms. Galindo for their hard work with these!

2)
PARALYMPIAN GREG STEWART
We are lucky to have Greg Stewart come to CCS to speak to our children about determination, resilience and overcoming adveristy. Greg is a two time gold medal paralympian for shot put, but also plays professional wheelchair volleyball. Greg has recently authored a book that he will be sharing with the students. All families are welcome to attend the assembly!

3) AWARDS ASSEMBLY
We will be having our year end awards assembly next Tuesday. Parents whose children are receiving an award have been notified by the office. We will also be acknowledging our track and field athletes at this assembly. We had many outstanding achievements at the CISVA Track and Field meet!

4) LOST AND FOUND
Please see below this week’s lost and found items. All items will be set out next week for one last look through.

5) LAST SCHOOL MASS
We will have our last school mass next Thursday at 9:00am. This is our candle passing mass where the Gr. 7 students pass the candle to the Grade 6 students, marking the ends of their leadership and the beginning of the new Grade 7 class’ leadership. Please be reminded that the last day of school is a NOON DISMISSAL

6) STAFFING UPDATE
I am sad but happy to announce that Ms. Shantz will not be returning next year as she has been offered a teaching position! Ms Shantz will be teaching STEM at Southpoint Academy in the fall. Ms Shantz has contributed so much to our school community and will be missed.

7) PARENT PARTICIPATION
Parent Participation Program 2025/2026 – Important Information & Reminders
Dear Families,Thank you for your continued support and involvement in the Parent Participation Program. Your time and dedication make a meaningful difference in building a supportive and engaged school community.
Volunteer Hours Requirement
Each family is required to complete 40 volunteer hours for the 2025/2026 school year. This must include 6 maintenance hours.We encourage families to begin working on their hours before the summer break.
Volunteer Shift Cancellations
If you need to cancel your volunteer shift:With more than 24 hours’ notice: You may remove yourself from the task using the Volunteer Portal.With less than 24 hours’ notice: Please email the Parent Participation Coordinator at parentparticipation@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca.
Important PoliciesUnreported absences will result in a $25 no-show fee.After three no-shows, families will be removed from the program.Any remaining hours at the end of the year must be paid out at the following rates:$30 per regular hour$60 per maintenance hour
Ad Hoc Hours
These include tasks not signed up for through the portal or additional time worked beyond a scheduled shift.
All ad hoc hours must be submitted for approval within one month of completion. Late submissions will be reviewed at the coordinator’s discretion.
