Final Countdown!- Final reminders...
Dear Parents,
We are one day from welcoming back our students! A few more items for clarification. Thank you to those of you who have emailed me with questions.
Students in Grade 4-7 will be permitted to use the crosswalk and meet their parents at the car. Primary students may only go and meet their parents if they are accompanied by an older sibling. No students will be allowed to leave the pick up area to meet parents outside of the school property. Your child(ren)’s safety remains our priority. If you park outside of the school property (ie- along 59 Ave), you can walk to the fence and we will dismiss your child(ren) there.
Please remember that there will be no more stopping after school in the drop off zone. This area will be blocked off and only open to parents who walk over to use it as a waiting area. Kindly practice social distancing.
A reminder that the playground will be closed before and after school to all children.
If you are on the Temporary Transition Plan, your child(ren)’s teacher will contact you before September 21 to let you know what materials you need. We will be arranging pick up times for parents to come and get their materials and Edupacs.
Masks remain optional for students. If your child(ren) will be wearing a mask, please consider purchasing at least 4 so that they can have a clean one at school each day. You are welcome to send the masks to school in a ziploc bag with your child(ren)’s name and grade on it. We recommend that parents label each mask. A great idea that I saw is having your child wear a lanyard with the mask attached to it so that it doesn’t get lost. That way your child can just put it on when they wish to and take it off without it getting lost. Our school has two masks per student that can be requested if you like. There is currently a back order, so only adult sizes are available right now. We do have disposable masks in children’s size available.
We can’t wait to welcome your children back tomorrow and Friday! Please pray for our staff and know of our prayers for your children as we start school. Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding during this uncertain time.
God bless,
C. Heah
