Parent Participation 2020/2021

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to the start of a new school year with new parent participation opportunities. 

In light of the Covid 19 pandemic, the PEC has made some changes to the Parent Participation Program this year. 

As the 2020/2021 term will be shorter due to the extension of last term, families are now only required to complete 30 hours in fulfillment of their parent participation requirements. The number of required maintenance hours will remain the same at 6.  Hours must be completed and entered into OnVolunteers by May 31, 2021.

We would like to remind families that you may buy out incomplete regular hours at a rate of $30 per hour, however maintenance hours can NOT be bought out. 

As always there is also the option for families to opt out of the program completely by paying the fee of $600. This is divided into two amounts of $300 (one for the first half of the year, and the other for the second half of the year.) Should there be any changes to public health protocols, we will of course revisit the parent participation requirements and communicate any necessary changes to you.
