Important Information
Thank you to everyone who donated money to Terry Fox Foundation today! Our school raised $625 for Terry Fox Foundation!
If you want to volunteer during school hours while the children are in session, or if you want to drive children other than your own to sporting events or field trips, we do need to have a valid Criminal Record Check and Volunteer Driver Application form on file. If you are unsure, please contact Mrs. Jangula to check your status.
Next week is the National Week for Truth and Reconciliation. We will be having a live assembly on Tuesday with Catholic Deacon and member of the Squamish Nation Rennie Nahanee. On Wednesday, it is Orange Shirt Day. Students are invited to wear an orange shirt, or if they don’t have an orange shirt any other piece of clothing that is orange. Thursday will be the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Statutory holiday in Canada. There will be no school on this day. There will be school on Friday.
The PHO has reinstated school notification letters for COVID positive cases. Due to concerns from parents and educators in the province, these letters will once again be put into place starting next week. We continue to follow all health and safety protocols here at CCS, always erring on the side of caution. Your child(ren)’s health and safety remain our top priority.
Please ensure that all uniform pieces are labelled. We have several items in our lost and found that are in good shape but have no names on them.
October 3 is Safe Haven Sunday, an initiative from the Archdiocese of Vancouver that teaches families how to make their home a safe place. Please click here to read more about this event.
