Important Information

2024/2025 Kindergarten:
We have had a great time meeting and interviewing potential Kindergarten families for next year. We have had a lot of interest and are hoping to have two classes of kindergarten next year! If you have any friends or family looking for kindergarten for the coming school year, please encourage them to apply soon!

Valentine’s Day Reminders:
As Valentine’s Day falls on Ash Wednesday, we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Tuesday. Students are invited to dress down in Valentine’s Day colours and accessories. No collection will happen this day. A reminder that any treats that come to school for Valentine’s Day must be approved the classroom teacher first and must be nut free. We have several students with severe allergies, so we ask that you please send the ingredient list (or take a photo of the ingredients) to the teacher ahead of time.

Shrove Tuesday:
As always, we will be having a Shrove Tuesday pancake breakfast hosted by the Knights of Columbus. Students will all receive pancakes. If your child has any allergies, please feel free to send your own pancakes to school! Ingredients for the pancakes being served are:
Enriched bleached flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), sugar, dextrose, leavening (baking soda, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate), food starch-modified, salt, soybean oil, egg whites, buttermilk.

Contains: wheat, milk, and eggs.

May contain soy and tree nuts.

Ash Wednesday:
We will be having Ash Wednesday mass at 9:00am. All parents are welcome as always to join us!


Catholic Educators Conference/ Family Day:
Please be reminded that next week is our annual Catholic Educators Conference. There is no school on Thursday and Friday. A reminder as well that Monday is Family Day and there is no school on that day as well.

Parent Participation Update:
Families, are you on track to complete your parent participation hours by the deadline of May 31st, 2024?  Please check your onVolunteers account for the balance. The requirement is 34 regular hours and 6 maintenance hours for a total of 40 hours.  Kindly note any ad hoc requests must be submitted within one month of completion. Ad hoc tasks are applicable when a task took longer than expected, or you did not sign up on the website in advance. Approval past the one month deadline is at the discretion of the coordinator. 

Kindly note a criminal record search and a volunteer driver authorization form must be completed for certain tasks.  Instructions and forms can be found on the school website under Parent resources.

  • Family Movie Night is TONIGHT!

Celebrate Lunar New Year at Movie Night! Doors open at 5:30. "Wish Dragon" starts at 6:10pm. Entrance is by donation and all children must be with an adult during the entire movie night.

  • Return-It Bottle Refund Program:

All you need to do is visit any Return-It Express Location and enter the CCS phone number (604) 574-5151 at the kiosk. Print your labels, stick them on your empties & help CCS!
