Important Information
Gala:
Tomorrow is the Gala! A BIG thank you for all of the generous bottle donations we received this week! The bottle game will be a huge success thanks to all of the donations.
Mite Boxes:
We have not received many mote boxes yet. Please remember to bring back your Mite boxes. All of the money you have collected will go towards supporting our seminarians.
Solar Eclipse:
On Monday, there will be a eclipse. In this part of Canada, it will only be a partial eclipse, with 27% of the sun covered. We have been asked by our superintendents’ office to keep students in between 10:30am and 12:30pm as we do not have special glasses for our students to view the eclipse. Teachers will be livestreaming the eclipse in their classrooms, and we will have a 10:15am and 12:30pm recess.
Student Led Conferences:
If you have not yet done so, please sign up below for the Student Led Conferences on April 10, 11, 12. Students are expected to be in school uniform for the conferences. A reminder that Friday is a non-instructional day as we will be having conferences all day.

Registration for 2024/2025:
Please see email sent home on Wednesday. Registration for the upcoming school year will need to be completed on or before the Student Led Conferences on April 12. Starting the week of April 2, any time that you are in the school for any reason please stop by the office to complete registration. If you would prefer to set up an appointment please use the link for Student Led Conferences above. You will see a sign up option for Registration.
Spring Performance:
April 30- 1:00pm Matinee, 6:00pm evening show- Cloverdale Catholic School's Spring Concert this year is a "Musical Journey Through Time" featuring each class, Choir, Band performances, singing and dancing. We are creating a show program and offering three types of Sponsorship:
Bronze - $25 (Business card size)
Silver - $50 (half a page)
Gold - $100 (full page)
Platinum - $100+
The deadline to confirm and send the digital graphic, as well as the funds to our school is by Friday, April 12th.
Our Platinum sponsors are welcome to display their retractable banner (if they have one) in our Parish centre foyer at the concert.
Sponsorship funds go directly to the CCS Music Dept. for instruments (xylophones, percussion instruments, and sound/light equipment rentals)
Lost and Found:
These are new items since returning from spring break. They will be removed April 24th.
Athletics:
Road Runners running club- Please see below for poster with information.
Track and Field permission forms went home this week- please fill out and return by Wednesday. Road Runners is only open to track athletes at this time.

Parent Participation Update:
Families, the deadline of May 31st to finish parent participation hours is fast approaching! There are plenty of volunteer opportunities on the website and the Gala committee is in need of more volunteers for this weekend's Gala night.
If you are unable to attend a volunteer shift, kindly remove yourself from the task with as much notice as possible. If there is more than 24 hours notice, the task can be reposted and hopefully a replacement can be found . If there is less than 24 hours notice, email the parent participation coordinator. Failure to report an absence will result in a no show fee of $25 per missed shift. Three no shows, and the family will be removed from the program and will have to pay out the remaining hours at the cost of $30 per missed regular hour and $60 per missed maintenance hour.

GALA 2024 IS TOMORROW, SATURDAY APRIL 6th!
Doors open at 5:30pm! Please have your virtual tickets & confirmation emails ready. We look forward to sharing an amazing night with all who have registered!
Family Photos:
There are 4 spots left for professional family photos! Sessions take place next Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at the Parish Centre. All proceeds from the $30 sitting fee will go directly back to the school. Sorry no pets are permitted.

Return-It Bottle Refund Program:
All you need to do is visit any Return-It Express Location and enter the CCS phone number (604) 574-5151 at the kiosk. Print your labels, stick them on your empties & help CCS!
