Important Information

  • Track and Field

    • Our first track and field meet is on Monday in Abbotsford. Please refer to Mr. Klaponski’s correspondence

    • We will once again be hosting our mini meet on Wednesday with a few other Catholic schools. Parents, please join us and cheer on your child(ren)!

    • PED reminder- Track and field events are school events, therefore students are not permitted to bring or play with Personal Electronic Devices at these events. Students are welcome to bring cards, books,… to play with their friends while they are waiting for their events.

  • Cambridge Uniforms- Fitting days are next Wednesday and Thursday in the school gym. Please ensure you have created an account before coming to your appointment.

  • Please keep our Grade 2s in your prayers as they prepare to receive the sacrament of First Communion tomorrow. WE ARE STILL IN DESPERATE NEED OF PARENT HELPERS!

  • Archbishop’s Charities- Thank you for raising $645.00 for the Archbishop’s Charities! This money will go to the Door is Open, Prison Ministries and Men’s Hostel.

  • We are still in need of parents to purchase some snacks and drinks for our Chris Bray concert on May 23. Please see the task posted to OnVolunteers.

  • Sun protection- As the weather starts to get warm and sunny (hopefully,) please ensure that your child is ready for the weather. Water bottle, hats, sunscreen are important, especially for those students who take part in track and field.

  • MAINTENANCE UPDATE

Maintenance Hours Countdown - Deadline May 31st!

    - All 6 maintenance hours must be completed AND submitted through On Volunteers by May 31st

Final two workbees of 2022/2023 are May 6 and May 27

-THERE ARE NO SCHEDULED WORKBEES IN JUNE and any maintenance work done after May 31 counts towards the 2023/2024 school year.  Sign up for workbees through On Volunteers

Can't make it to a workbee??  Get your maintenance hours by vanquishing dandelions!!!

    - The dandelions are coming in with a vengeance - removing dandelions is a great way to get those hours in. Gloves and weeding tools can be found in the shed, put the weeds in a green bin after shaking off as much dirt as possible (otherwise the bins get too heavy).  Sign up through OnVolunteers. To get the code to the shed, email maintenance@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca or ask at the parish office

    - Since these are hours done outside of a workbee, you will need to email maintenance.admin@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca when you ARRIVE and when you LEAVE in order to get your hours verified. Please note the new email address for verification.

    Summer Maintenance Program

    - Get your maintenance hours completed before school starts in September!

    - We are hoping to have a team of parents who commit to helping keep our grounds neat and tidy over the summer. This involves committing to weeding and watering a section of the parish and school grounds at least once a week over the summer months (accomodations can be made for vacation time)

    - If you are interested in being part of the Summer Maintenance Program, please email maintenance@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca

  • PARENT PARTICIPATION UPDATE

Deadline for 2022/2023 parent hours is around the corner! Hours are due May 31st, 2023.

We are in dire need of help this Saturday May 6th for the First Communion event. Even if you have fulfilled your hours, please consider coming out to assist. CCS depends on the school community and parent involvement to make these memorable events special. Likewise, volunteer registration for the track meets is very low, notable May 24th, please consider volunteering especially if you have an athlete already competing.

    https://portal.onvolunteers.com/login.aspx?s=ccs.bc

Families who have not completed their hours will be billed June 15, 2023

Friendly reminder to submit your ad hoc tasks within ONE month of the task in order for it to be approved.  Anything past that date, will be approved at the discretion of the coordinator.  Any Ad hoc tasks for the 2022-2023 school year must be submitted BEFORE May 31, 2023, else they
    will not be counted.

For help with logging onto the onVolunteers website, reach out to onvolunteers@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca
