Important Information

  • Congratulations to:

    • Grade 6 Readers Are Leaders team who won the regional competition and will be moving onto the CISVA finals on Monday!

    • Josephine who competed in the CISVA finals this week

    • Senior girls soccer team who played in the CISVA finals today!

  • A BIG thank you to Mrs. Mar for all of the hard work she put into the Spring Performance, and to all of our students for a job well done! It was wonderful to see so many families come out and support our performance.

  • We have our AGM next Thursday in the gym. Please make an effort to have at least one parent attend. The PEC and myself will go over a few important items from the year and we will share our staffing and grade assignments for next school year.

  • Boys Shorts: Boys are allowed to wear shorts again with the arrival of the warm weather. A reminder that school socks are to be black or navy blue. White socks are not in line with our school dress code.

  • Please keep our Grade 7s in your prayers as they prepare to receive the sacrament of Confirmation tomorrow.

  • MAINTENANCE UPDATE

Maintenance Hours Countdown - Deadline May 31st!

    - All 6 maintenance hours must be completed AND submitted through On Volunteers by May 31st

Final two workbees of 2022/2023 are May 6 and May 27

-THERE ARE NO SCHEDULED WORKBEES IN JUNE and any maintenance work done after May 31 counts towards the 2023/2024 school year.  Sign up for workbees through On Volunteers

Can't make it to a workbee??  Get your maintenance hours by vanquishing dandelions!!!

    - The dandelions are coming in with a vengeance - removing dandelions is a great way to get those hours in. Gloves and weeding tools can be found in the shed, put the weeds in a green bin after shaking off as much dirt as possible (otherwise the bins get too heavy).  Sign up through OnVolunteers. To get the code to the shed, email maintenance@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca or ask at the parish office

    - Since these are hours done outside of a workbee, you will need to email maintenance.admin@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca when you ARRIVE and when you LEAVE in order to get your hours verified. Please note the new email address for verification.

    Summer Maintenance Program

    - Get your maintenance hours completed before school starts in September!

    - We are hoping to have a team of parents who commit to helping keep our grounds neat and tidy over the summer. This involves committing to weeding and watering a section of the parish and school grounds at least once a week over the summer months (accomodations can be made for vacation time)

    - If you are interested in being part of the Summer Maintenance Program, please email maintenance@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca

  • PARENT PARTICIPATION UPDATE

Deadline for 2022/2023 parent hours is around the corner!. Hours are due May 31st, 2023.  There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer.  Fun events such as the Track and Field meets and Movie nights rely on parent participation.  Unfortunately volunteer registration is low.  These events may be cancelled if we don't have enough volunteers.  Let's not disappoint the kids, head over to the website and sign up for tasks.

    https://portal.onvolunteers.com/login.aspx?s=ccs.bc

Families who have not completed their hours will be billed June 15, 2023

Friendly reminder to submit your ad hoc tasks within ONE month of the task in order for it to be

approved.  Anything past that date, will be approved at the discretion of the coordinator.  Any Ad

hoc tasks for the 2022-2023 school year must be submitted BEFORE May 31, 2023, else they

    will not be counted.

For help with logging onto the onVolunteers website, reach out to onvolunteers@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca
