Important Information

UNITED DAY- TERRY FOX
Monday is our first United Day of the year. United days are days where students are permitted to dress down in the dedicated theme and raise money for a worthy cause. This Monday’s theme is Terry Fox. Students who have Terry Fox shirts can wear those, and those who don’t can just come to school dressed down in comfortable clothes suited for walking. It is a full dress down day! All proceeds will go to Terry Fox Foundation, and as always an extra $1 for a bag of popcorn. REMINDER- if you prepaid for United Days, you do not need to make another donation.
Any families missed prepaying for United Days and would like to for this 26/27 school year, please email accounting@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca by Monday, September 21st for withdrawal on October 1st.  Please include Student(s), Grade(s), and amount per Family.  Minimum for prepayment is $30/student, but we suggest $50/student.

PHOTO DAY!
Please ensure that your child(ren) have their full uniform for Photo Day. These are individual student photos (class photos are in Spring.) A reminder that make up is not permitted at school.

WALKATHON 2026- “Walk in Faith Grow Together”

Walkathon envelopes were sent home today with your child (except Gr. 7.) Please read the contents carefully, especially the weekly total slips that need to come in every week.
We are in need of small and big prizes for Walkathon- If you have any donations these would be greatly appreciated! You can drop them at the office starting next week. THANK YOU to those families that have already made generous donations!

LUNCHTIME GOLF CLUB WITH FR. RICH
Fr. Rich is excited to start a fun lunchtime golf club for interested students in Gr. 3-7. Each grade will get two lunchtime golf sessions with Fr. Rich and Mr. John Festejo. It is intended to introduce students to the game of golf. There is a $10 cost, and interested parents are asked to complete the permission form.

PARENT PARTICIPATION UPDATE
Dear Families,

I hope everyone is settling into a wonderful new school year! As part of the Parent Participation Program, each family is required to complete 40 volunteer hours during the school year. Your participation helps keep school costs down while also building a strong, connected community for our children.

The 40-hour requirement includes:

  • At least 6 hours of school maintenance, which may include participating in Worker Bees, held on the first Saturday of each month

  • NEW THIS YEAR: At least 2 hours of fundraising, which may include helping with movie nights, Neufeld Farms fundraisers, or other wonderful fundraising opportunities for our kids.

Important Reminder

If you have signed up for an activity, please make every effort to follow through with your commitment. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration on OnVolunteers at least 24 hours before the activity so another family has the opportunity to sign up.

As per school policy, families who do not cancel at least 24 hours in advance will be charged a $25 fee.
Please continue to check OnVolunteers regularly, as new activities and volunteer opportunities are posted throughout the year.
Thank you for your continued support, time, and dedication to our school community. Together, we can make a wonderful difference for our children!
