Important Information

  • Congratulations to our Track and Field athletes who competed at the CISVA Day 2 Track meet at Swangard on Wednesday. Our athletes performed very well, but more importantly they represented our school very well! Go United! Thanks to all of our coaches who made this season a successful one!

  • Thank you to Mr. Mitchell for arranging for our Grade 3 class to visit the Kwantlen First Nation this week. This was such a meaningful experience for our children to take part in, especially presenting the chief with a reconciliation tree that was created by our CCS community (see photo below). We hope this is the first of many opportunities for our students to form a meaningful and long lasting relationship with our Indigenous brothers and sisters.

  • Books for Burkina will happen next week on Tuesday to Thursday. Please see here for information about the book sale and where out money is going to.

  • Ready for the sun? Hopefully we will see the sun soon! We ask that students are prepared for the sunny weather by bringing a hat and sunscreen for recess and PE blocks. Please also help your child remember their water bottle.

  • Fun Day next week- We will be having Fun Day next Friday and students will be put into a colour group. This information will be sent to you by the classroom teacher. Our stations will be planned and run by our Grade 7 students, and our grade 6 students will be taking a leadership role in taking the classes around to the stations and helping them. We will of course also have our tug of War competition at the end of the event. Students will be given a special popsicle treat from Max Frut, a company in North Van that makes 100% pure fruit popsicles. Ingredients are attached here for your reference. Parents are welcome to come and watch Fun Day and help cheer on the students! A reminder that we will be dismissing at noon.

  • 2022/2023 Year at a Glance- Updated copy for your reference. Dec. 9 Staff retreat has been confirmed. This is a non-instructional day for students.

  • Fraser Valley Bandits basketball game tickets for sale for June 24th home game. Information can be found here.

  • Maintenance Update:
Help Us Get The School Ready For Summer!!!

We are having a final workbee on Saturday, June 18th, 9am to 12pm.  These hours count towards the 2022/2023 school year. This is an outdoor-only workbee, and we will be focusing on preparing the school grounds for the summer, including weeding, cutting down brambles, weedeating, spreading mulch, etc. Please bring gardening gloves and protective clothing and dress for the weather! If anyone has a weedeater that they are willing to bring, we could use some extra help as there are a LOT of areas that have grown up over the past week or so. Sign up through OnVolunteers - there are lots of spaces still available!

Summer Maintenance jobs are now available for families looking to do hours over the summer. Sign up for a short information session through OnVolunteers (only one person per family for the information session) and we will match you and your family with a job that works for you.

If you can't commit to a permanent summer job, we will post any extra tasks on OnVolunteers for anyone to pick up. All these hours will be added as "Ad Hoc Maintenance". Anyone who comes in to do hours during the summer needs to sign in and sign out by emailing parentparticipation@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca when you start your task and again when you finish it.

    Join the Lawnmowing Team

We are looking for 2-3 parents who would like to join our lawn mowing team at CCS/Precious Blood. Experience with riding lawn mowers is a definite asset, but not a requirement. If you are interested in learning more, please email Jennifer at maintenance@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca

Many thanks to retiring members Ward Benedict and Rob Currie for all your years of service in cutting the lawns!!

If you have any questions, please email Jennifer Friesen at maintenance@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca

  • Parent Participation Update:
