March 23rd Update from Mr. Borkowski

Parents and Friends of CCS,

I hope this email finds you safe and well, making the most of this time in our homes. I am so grateful for the enthusiasm with which everyone has embraced online learning. Five of my own children are now learning from home, and it has its ups and downs, but the support and preparation of the teachers has made it possible to see my kids continue to succeed. Please keep up the hard work. I still hope we will get to reopen schools this year and have a chance to wrap up our learning and say goodbye.

I strongly encourage everyone to subscribe to my Youtube channel or check the school website daily to stay informed on the latest announcements at the school, including Spirit Week details. Many parents are enjoying Story Time With Mr. Borkowski as a short reprieve from the responsibilities of teaching. Families are enjoying “5 Minutes With” videos as a way of learning together and staying connected to people in our community. Of course, the Daily Announcements, are the place for news and events. Tomorrow’s episode of “5 Minutes With” includes a very important announcement from our beloved Librarian, Mrs. Mahussier (you can get an early viewing here).

Finally, I wish to thank our staff who have worked so hard over the past month to make home learning a reality. Every single staff member is putting in longer hours than ever before. They have made a paradigm shift in a very short period of time. It is truly amazing. Hard work and commitment have been the keys to success and everyone including parents, staff members, and kids should be proud of their contributions.
