Important Information
Walkathon:
Please hand in walkathon permission slips to your child’s classroom teacher at your earliest convenience. Please remember that pledge sheets and payment should not come to school before October 28. Envelopes that come in early will be sent home again. We are still seeking prize donations!
Spirit Wear Day:
A reminder that Monday is Spirit Wear Day- Spirit Wear or school colours on top, regular uniform bottoms and shoes.

CISVA School Evaluation:
We had our CISVA school evaluation this week, and received wonderful commendations. A big thank you to our awesome school staff for all of their hard work in preparing for the evaluation, and for making our school the amazing place it is for our students and families. This Saturday is World Teachers Day, and we recognize our school staff for their dedication and hard work! November 13, 14 will be the Ministry of Education evaluation.
Cross Country:
Congratulations to our Cross Country athletes who participated in Cross Country this season. The season wrapped up this week with the CISVA Cross Country Meet held at Swangard Stadium. Congratulations to all students for their hard work and great display of sportsmanship! Thank you Mrs. Schneider and Mrs. Pistrin for coaching our athletes this season.
Hip Hop Dance Week:
This week is Hip Hop Dance Week- we always look forward to this fun week where our students work with One Vibe Entertainment to put together dance routines that will be performed at the Friday Hip Hop Thanksgiving Throwdown! Parents are invited to come and watch at 1:30pm in the gym. A big thank you to our Parent Support Group for funding this program!
Jane Goodall Interview:
Our Student Leadership Team will take part in an interview panel with Jane Goodall on October 8 at 10:00am. This is part of the Young Citizens of the World organization that our Student Leadership Team started 5 years ago with a few other schools. We are so excited to join other schools from around the world for this amazing opportunity!

Community Values Coupon Books:
Thank you to all the families that supported our Coupon Book fundraiser! We have reached and exceeded our goal of 300 books sold! There are still quite a few books that haven't been returned or purchased. The big prizes, class trip to the Zoo, Giants tickets and Free Ice Cream Cake can't be awarded until all books are returned. Mountain West Family Photos Sat Oct 19th
Family photos are coming up soon! The session will take place on Saturday October 19, in the Gym at the Parish Centre.This environment allows us to provide quality portrait sessions within a comfortable location. Our goal is to provide portraits that CELEBRATE YOU and your Family.
