Important Information
Registration for Current Families:
Deadline for re-registration for current families is December 18. If you have not re-registered, we cannot guarantee your space for next year as we have wait lists.
Student Health:
It was very noticeable today in mass that there are several students at school who are sick with colds. Please keep your child(ren) at home if they are sick, our of respect for the other students and staff. It is almost Christmas, and nobody wants to be sick for Christmas. Thank you for your consideration.
Away in a Mango Christmas Play:
Next Tuesday is the big day! Our students are so excited to perform for you! A few important reminders:
- 1:00pm- Matinee, 6:00pm- Evening performance
- We have a seating capacity of 300 in the school gym- if possible, please try and attend only one performance to avoid over-crowding.
- Doors open 30 minutes before- NO early entrance. Please follow line up instructions to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience
- Cast to be at school at 5:00pm, students at 5:30pm
- Do not leave after your child’s performance. The students and staff have worked very hard on this performance, and we would like everyone to stay for the duration of the show. Pick up is in the classrooms after the show.
- Suggested donations of $2 per person, or $5 per family, and a non-perishable food item for St. Vincent de Paul
- There will be a 50/50 raffle and concession. There are also a limited number of leis available for $3 or 2 for $5- cash only
- There will be videographer and photographer who will share their work with parents.

Student Christmas Crafts:
Unpurchased student crafts from the bazaae will be available at the concerts for the parents to purchase. A table will be set up in the foyer before and after the concerts.
Christmas Spirit Week:
Wednesday, December 20- “Christmas Morning”- dress in your jammies or comfy sweats, whatever you would wear on Christmas morning!
Thursday, December 21- “Christmas Sweater/ Accessories” dress down day.
Friday, December 22- “New Year’s Eve Formal”- dress in your fancy clothes! We also have a very special assembly at 11:00am with some special guests! All families invited to attend!
Holy Cross Open House:
Holy Cross Regional is hosting their Open House on January 25th at 7:00pm. All families welcome to attend!
PFG Weekly Report:
Thank you to all the families that joined us for movie night last Friday! Our next movie night will be in February.
ACTIVE FUNDRAISERS:
Return-It Bottle Refund Program:
All you need to do is visit any Return-It Express Location and enter the CCS phone number (604) 574-5151 at the kiosk. Print your labels, stick them on your empties & help CCS!
UPCOMING FUNDRAISERS:
The PFG will be running a concession at the Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 19th. Visit us for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and baked goods! We will also be holding a 50/50 before both performances. Both the concession & 50/50 are cash only.

Parent Participation Weekly Report:
Families, with only two weeks left in 2023, are you on track to complete your parent participation hours? The requirement is 34 regular hours and 6 maintenance hours. Deadline is May 31st, 2024. Non completion rates are as follows; $30 per missing regular hour and $60 per missing maintenance hour.
Per the parent participation policy, kindly submit any ad hoc tasks within one month of completion in order for it to be approved. Anything submitted past that date, and approval is at the discretion of the coordinator. A "no show" for a volunteer shift without prior notification to the coordinator will result in a no show penalty of $25 per missed shift.

Parish Skating Day!- see attached poster
PROJECT ADVANCE- Parishioners, please consider contributing to Project Advance if you have not yet done so. Fund from this year’s Project Advance will go to helping the cost for the new boiler, school roof, and parish HVAC system. All of these are in much need of replacement and are very expensive. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
