UNITED DAY:
We will be having our United Day next Thursday, with proceeds going to a special mission in Papua New Guinea. Fr. John, cousin of Dee Silva (past parent) chose this mission to help those in need. He walks 8 hours every day (4 hours there and 4 hours back) through mountains and forest to reach the community where he can evangelize! He is looking for funds to help build a dormitory closer to the village so he doesn’t have to walk as far every day. Here is a video of Fr. John at work There are rosaries and rosary bracelets available for sale at the office next week, made specifically to raise money for this mission. Rosaries are $10 and bracelets (limited number) are $5. As always, $1 for popcorn! Here is a link to a video with more information on the mission.

Fun Day (NOON DISMISSAL):
Our Fun Day is Friday June 21, and the planning committee is excited to announce this year’s theme: Superheros! See poster attached below. Parents are more than welcome to attend and cheer the students on! Teachers will communicate what students should be wearing. There will be an ice cream truck for all the students- it is a SURPRISE so please don’t tell your child! There will only be 4 options, and they are all allergy friendly options. Here are the links to the different options for your information. Please let your child’s teacher know if there are any that they cannot have.

Cambridge Uniforms:
EXTENDED: Free shipping on orders over $250 (before tax) between now and June 29th. Back to school orders should be placed by June 15th to ensure that they are ready in time for next school year.

CISVA Track and Field Championships:
Congratulations to our athletes and coaches on a superb result in this year’s meet. Our school placed 12th overall and had numerous individual and team top 3 placings. Our Gr. 5 boys placed first overall in the 11 year old boys division- GO UNITED! We will be handing out awards at one of our upcoming assemblies.

Outstanding Fees:
The final direct withdrawal for all outstanding fees (parent participation program fees, pre-ordered yearbooks, and kid swap used uniform sales) will be on Monday, June 17th. Please ensure that funds are available to avoid a $40 NSF fee.

Yearbooks:
We still have a dozen yearbooks left if you are interested. Please see Mrs. Jangula at the office if you would like one- $18 cash only. A big thank you to Mrs. Hosein and Ms. Galindo for all of their hard work with the yearbook. It took many many hours to collect and sort all the photos and put this yearbook together!

Parent Participation Update:
Families, the 2024-2025 Parent participation program is now open!. Get a head start and earn hours before the summer break. The grade 7 graduation celebration will be on June 21st. Volunteers are needed!. Please head to the onVolunteers website to register. Let's make this memorable event special for our graduates and their families.

If you are unable to attend a volunteer shift, kindly remove yourself from the task with as much notice as possible. If there is more than 24 hours notice, the task can be reposted and hopefully a replacement can be found . If there is less than 24 hours notice, email the parent participation coordinator. Failure to report an absence will result in a no show fee of $25 per missed shift. Three no shows, and the family will be removed from the program and will have to pay out the remaining hours at the cost of $30 per missed regular hour and $60 per missed maintenance hour.

Ad hoc requests are tasks that you did not sign up for on the website or a task that took longer than expected. Please submit these within one month of completion for approval. Anything submitted beyond that date, and approval is at the discretion of the coordinator.
