Important Information

  • Please ensure that you have read the email sent out Thursday with new BCCDC updates.

  • Wednesday will be United Day. We will be raising money for Pennies for Girls. Students are invited to dress up in their dream career outfit! Do you want to be a doctor? A policeman? Maybe a teacher? There will be no popcorn due to current health and safety protocols.

  • Parent Evening: We are blessed to have Sr. John Mary present next Thursday evening to our parents in Grade 4-7. Any parents are welcome to join, but it is focused on the intermediate grades. Sister will be speaking to empowering parents to take on their proper role in leading their children, and supporting parents in their desire to stay connected with their children. It is an Archdiocesan expectation that all parents in Grade 4-7 attend this evening.

  • It has been a challenging week with staff shortages. I want to express my thanks to all of the staff here at CCS who have been impacted by the shortage, either by losing prep blocks, class support or having to give up their time to help cover absences. As well, thank you to the parents who emailed me yesterday offering their help in the school office. These challenging times have shone a spotlight on the sense of community that exists here at CCS!

  • Morning drop off: Starting next week, students may play before school again and do not have to go directly to their line ups.

  • Hot Lunch: We will be starting up hot lunch again in early February. We have decided to go with a different company called FUEL. We were impressed by their menu, quality of food, ease of ordering and the recommendations from other schools. Stay tuned for more information coming next week, including how to place orders.

  • Parent Fundraising Group

    2021-2022 ANNUAL GOAL: $60,000
