Effective September this applies to gym shorts as well. Plain red shorts will no longer be accepted. Please ensure that you order your uniforms with ample time so that your child has the proper uniform for September. Used uniforms can be purchased as well through Kate Paez. Although uniforms have improved greatly this year, there are still a few students that are not always in compliance with our uniform policy. Thank you in advance for your support and cooperation. Uniform and Standards of Appearance policy for your reference.

  2. From our Student Council Deputy Prime Minister Luke Tamis: Our last United day will be on Monday, June 28th- (Summer Colours Day!)with proceeds going to Advokate Life and Education Services, a Catholic organization supporting pregnant women and new mothers. The theme will be summer colours! Students are invited to dress down in summer colours- Appropriate and modest wear please. We have raised over $4600 this year through our United Days!! Thank you so much for our ongoing support of local and international Catholic charities. A big thank you to our Student Council for all of their help with our United Days!

  4. IT IS HOT!! Students are permitted to wear their gym strips to school next week to help stay cool. Please send a water bottle, hat and sunscreen! Depending on the weather, students may be kept inside for recess.

  5. From the PFG:
-Thank you also to everyone who purchased Krispy Kreme donuts - we raised just over $700! The donuts will be available for pickup between 11am and 1pm on Tuesday, June 29th in front of the parish. We will have a few extra boxes, so if you missed out on the original order, come by early and pick up a box!

    - Thank you to everyone who participated in the Year End Online Auction! With your help, we raised $8,245! That's amazing! Your generosity all year with our fundraisers will allow us to purchase some much needed equipment and supplies for our educational programs.

  6. Congratulations to Mrs. Keble and her family who welcomed baby Valerie Grace into their lives!

  7. From the PEC: Education Committee Elections, which normally take place in May, have been postponed until September.   Nominations will be available 4 weeks before the elections.   Education Committees receive their mandate from the Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese.  The Parish Education Committee for Cloverdale Catholic School works closely as a team and along with our pastor supports our principal as chief administrator of the school. The PEC ensures that all CISVA policies as well as all local school policies and procedures are followed.  It is also the responsibility of the PEC to establish and follow the school budget. The PEC is comprised of 7 members, 5 of whom are elected by the parish and 2 are appointed by the pastor. Our parish also has 2 representatives on the Regional Education Committee working together with representatives from other parishes to oversee Holy Cross Secondary. This year our parish will be electing 3 candidates to the Parish Education Committee and Fr Paul will appoint 1 person to the PEC and 1 person to the REC.  All Catholic, registered and active parishioners over the age of 21 are eligible to be nominated for an Education Committee, excluding all CISVA and parish employees and their family members.  If you are interested in being nominated, or for more information about the Education Committee please email pec@cloverdalecatholicschool.ca

Several PEC members have reached the end of their terms and new members are needed.   Please see the list of PEC roles, all positions must be filled and roles are determined at the first meeting of the PEC each year. Thank you to our PEC and Fr. Paul for their hard work and support during my first year as principal at CCS!

  8. From the parish

Thank you for your continued support. Have a wonderful weekend!

God Bless,

C. Heah
Principal
