Important Information for the Week:

  1. “Every Child Matters”- We have had a chance this week to mourn and honour the children of the Kamloops Residential school through prayer, symbolism, sharing of indigenous resources, First Nations stories, 2 minutes of silence every day at 2:15pm and wearing Orange. Although this week’s events were heavily focused on this tragedy, the tragic events that happened in our residential schools won’t be forgotten just because this week is over. The ongoing incorporation of FIrst Peoples principles into our curriculum continues so that our students have the opportunity to learn about the history of the Indigenous people on whose land we live today. 2. A reminder that our walkathon day off for students is June 18. For those families that are registered for before and after school care, please contact me if you still need childcare.

  3. After school Art club- PLease complete the survey if you require this service next year. Thank you to those of you who have already completed the survey. Survey Link

  4. Our Student Council will be interviewing Christian Covington, an NFL player for the LA Chargers and a wonderful young Catholic role model. The whole school will be joining in at 1:30 for this wonderful opportunity!

  5. AGM- A correction to the AGM presentation- I forgot to add Mrs. Isabel Palha to the list of Education Assistants that will be returning. My apologies to Mrs. Palha for this.
