Parenting During a Pandemic Webinar

What do our kids need from us and how are we meant to lead them through this pandemic? While we have not faced times like these before, we are equipped to give our kids what they need to survive. Join Dr. Deborah MacNamara, Faculty member at the Neufeld Institute, who will walk around what it means to be resilient, how to deal with children’s emotions, and practical strategies for caring for our children when so much has changed. Using developmental science we will look at the power of human relationships and play to preserve us.

Dr. Deborah MacNamara is the author of the best-selling book Rest, Play, Grow: Making Sense of Preschoolers (or anyone who acts like one), is on Faculty at the Neufeld Institute, and is the Director of Kid’s Best Bet, a Counselling and Family Resource Center. Deborah is a national and international speaker who makes developmental science come to life in the everyday context of home and classroom. She also provides counselling services to parents and professionals to make sense of learning, behavioural, and developmental issues in kids – from babies to teens.
